Unlike all dog face wipes, Gentle Formula uses hypoallergenic, alcohol-free, non-fragrance constituents which minimize irritation. Most dog face wipes include additives such as soothing aloevera and antibacterial tea tree oil which may offer mix benefits but caution is advised since some dogs can be sensitive to plant extracts.
Some wipes are designed specifically for eye cleaning (closer to pH of tears) while regular wipes may not be appropriate for the eye areas.

Consideration of breed differences
Short-nosed dogs (such as French bulldogs and pugs):
Wrinkle Cleaning: Concentrate on cleaning the bridge of the nose and the mouth wrinkles. Wet wipes need to be certain level of moist to ensure leftover moisture residue doesn't lead to dermatitis.
Respiratory sensitivity: Avoid pressing the face too hard when wiping to prevent breathing.
Long-haired dogs (such as Shih Tzu and Maltese):
Hair Management: It is advised to lightly pat dry the area to avoid moisture build up after using wipes to prevent adhering of hairs or fungal growth.
Eye treatment: If there is a lot of eye mucus, the wipes need to be combed to avoid hardening.
Dogs with sensitive skin (such as Shiba Inu and Shar-Pei):
First, test locally: Try it on a small area behind the ear or on the abdomen, and observe for 24 hours whether there is a rash or itching.
Special precautions
Eye cleaning: If used around the eyes, choose a product clearly marked "for eye use". When there is a lot of secretion, it is recommended to use a veterinarian-recommended eye wash with a cotton ball.
Dogs with skin diseases: During fungal infections (such as Malassezia) or eczema, wet wipes may interfere with the acid-base balance of the skin, so follow the doctor's advice.
Puppies and elderly dogs: The skin barrier is weak, so it is recommended to reduce the frequency of use, no more than 2-3 times a week.
Usage tips
Wipe direction: Gently wipe in the direction of hair growth to avoid discomfort caused by the opposite direction of hair.
Secondary cleaning: If the dirt is hard (such as dried eye mucus), you can first soften it with a wet wipe and then wipe it gently.
Drying steps: Especially in the rainy season or humid areas, you can use a pet-specific deerskin towel to absorb moisture after wiping.
